The primary goals of the LIFTT-NSBE Jr. Chapter are:
To stimulate interest in STEM fields of study and professions of work.
Partner with parents and caregivers in supporting their children academically through the provision of supplementary educational resources.
Fulfill the purpose and aim of the National Society of Black Engineers which is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact their communities.
Leaders Innovators and Forward Thinkers of Tomorrow
The LIFTT-NSBE Jr. Chapter was a hybrid, STEM education program of Leaders Innovators & Forward Thinkers of Tomorrow (LIFTT Inc.) that sought to inspire children and youth to become skilled professionals in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) with a commitment to scholarship, leadership, and community empowerment. The LIFTT-NSBE Jr. Chapter successfully operated for 7 years (2010 - 2017) and ended its services on May 27, 2017.
