Leaders Innovators and Forward Thinkers of Tomorrow
The primary goals of the LIFTT-NSBE Jr. Chapter are:
To stimulate interest in STEM fields of study and professions of work.
Partner with parents and caregivers in supporting their children academically through the provision of supplementary educational resources.
Fulfill the purpose and aim of the National Society of Black Engineers which is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact their communities.
Started in 2010, the LIFTT-NSBE Jr. Chapter is a hybrid, STEM education program of Leaders Innovators & Forward Thinkers of Tomorrow (LIFTT Inc.) that seeks to inspire children and youth to become skilled professionals in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) with a commitment to scholarship, leadership, and community empowerment. Research shows that online learning has become a more innovative way to educate K-12 students in the 21st century. With this in mind, the LIFTT-NSBE Jr. Chapter engages its student members through web-based, interactive platforms and face-to-face meetings are held for LIFTT-NSBE Jr. Chapter members throughout the year.
